Is Herbalife safe for diabetics?

Our nutritionists recommend that anyone with diabetes should consult their doctor before making any dietary changes, as everyone has specific nutrition requirements. All Herbalife products are created to be compliant with EU and national law to make sure they are safe for healthy adults.

Can Diabetics use Herbalife products?

People who have diabetes may be able to include a number of Herbalife products in their daily diet. Yet, the nutritional value across our product range will vary dependent on flavour, serving size, and product purpose.

For instance, Herbalife Formula 1 Shake Mix Vanilla Cream flavour contains 21 grams of carbohydrates per 250ml, whereas our Formula 1 Shake Mix Banana Cream flavour contains 20 grams of carbohydrates per 250ml (when made according to product label recommendation).

Products which are appropriate for diabetics will depend on several factors. These include state of health, diabetes type, personal allowance for carbohydrates as recommended by a healthcare provider, and use of medications.

It is also important to remember that dietary changes can impact both blood sugar control and medications, in addition to the fact that some people with diabetes may have certain dietary restrictions.

Type 1 Diabetics may have a different nutritional requirement compared to Type 2 Diabetics. Any healthcare provider can contact Herbalife directly if they have further questions surrounding our product range - gcs@herbalife.com.
